Last May, my plein air painter friend, Jane and I headed to the Valley House Gallery. We were both preparing to go on summer painting trips. Jane planned to go to France and I was planning for Scotland. Before we traveled abroad, we wanted to practice our plein air painting skills, locally. The garden at Valley House is captivating, with its sculptures placed strategically in this beautiful setting. We made good memories that day as we laughed about the "alligators" at our feet and told other plein air adventure stories.
